The winter break is long enough for reading skills to slip, and cosy enough to make reading feel like a treat. This challenge gives kids 25 seasonal ideas and a free tracker to colour in.

How the challenge works

  1. Pick a tracker: snowflakes, Advent presents, Hanukkah’s eight nights or Kwanzaa’s seven days.
  2. Colour one in for every book (picture books, chapter books and audiobooks all count).
  3. Tick off as many ideas below as you can before school starts.
  4. Celebrate with a reading certificate.
