How Pagine Works

Two things parents do most in Pagine: set a reading goal, and log a reading session. Here's exactly how each works.

How to Set a Reading Goal for Your Child

To set a reading goal in Pagine, open your child's profile, tap Set Goal, choose what to track (books, minutes, pages, or sessions), pick a time period, and enter a target number. Pagine then tracks progress toward that goal automatically as you log sessions.

  1. Open your child's profileTap on your child's name from the Pagine dashboard.
  2. Tap "Set Goal" in Quick ActionsThis opens the reading goal form.
  3. Choose what to trackBooks Finished, Minutes Read, Pages Logged, or Sessions Logged.
  4. Choose a time periodWeekly, Monthly, Semester, Yearly, or a Custom Range.
  5. Enter your target numberFor example, 5 books or 300 minutes.
  6. Add an optional noteSuch as "Summer reading challenge."
  7. Tap Save GoalYour child's goal now appears on their profile with live progress.

How to Log a Reading Session

To log a reading session in Pagine, open your child's profile, tap Log Reading (or start the built-in timer for a live session), choose Reading or Listening, select the book, enter the duration and pages, and save. The session instantly updates your child's stats, streak, and goal progress.

  2. Tap "Log Reading"Or tap Start on the reading timer to time a live session.
  3. Choose Reading or ListeningListening covers audiobooks.
  4. Select or search for the bookSearch by title, author, or ISBN, or scan the barcode.
  5. Enter duration and pages readIn minutes and pages.
  6. Check "Book completed" if finishedThis adds it to their completed books count.
  7. Tap Save SessionStats, streaks, and goal progress update immediately.

How to invite a co-parent to track the same child

Open the child's profile, tap Invite Co-Parent, and either share the one-time code or send an email invite. Once the other parent enters the code, they can view and log reading sessions for the same child.

How to earn reading badges and certificates

Badges are earned automatically as your child reads — just keep adding and logging books. Kids unlock a new achievement badge at each milestone (1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 books and beyond), each with its own shape, color, and stars, and a confetti celebration marks each book logged. Tap any earned badge on the child's profile to open its shareable certificate. Earning and viewing badges is free; saving and sharing certificates is part of Pagine Plus.

How to turn on daily reading reminders

Enable daily reading reminders to get a gentle nudge to read each day. Pagine automatically skips any day you've already logged a session, so you're only reminded when you actually need it — and reminders are completely free.
