Privacy Policy
Draft — last updated July 2026. Pending legal review.
Pagine ("Pagine," "we," "us") is operated by Mwamb LLC. This policy describes what information we collect from parents and about children's reading activity, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Parent account information: when you create a Pagine account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, basic profile information from that provider (such as name and email).
Child profile information: information you choose to enter about your child, including first name, date of birth, reading level, and grade.
Reading activity: books logged, reading and listening session duration, pages read, completion status, reading goals, streaks, and points.
Book lookup data: when you search for a book or scan a barcode, the title, author, ISBN, or cover art is retrieved from third-party book data sources (such as Google Books and Open Library).
Usage analytics: we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example, which features are opened), which may include device and usage data.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate core features: authenticating your account, storing your children's reading profiles and history, calculating stats, streaks, and goal progress, enabling co-parent invitations, and generating the email/share progress reports you request. We do not sell children's personal information.
Sharing with co-parents
If you invite a co-parent using a share code or email invite, that person will be able to view and log reading activity for the child profile they join.
Data storage and security
Account authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. Child profiles and reading activity are stored in a MongoDB Atlas database. We take reasonable measures to protect this information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
You can edit or remove a child's profile information at any time from within the app. From Account settings, you can deactivate your account (pausing access while your data is preserved) or permanently delete your account, which removes your stored data.
Children's privacy
Pagine is designed to be used by a parent or guardian on behalf of their child; children do not create their own accounts. Parents control what information is entered about their child and can delete it at any time.
