Thanksgiving classics and history for ages 8+
- The Children’s Book of Thanksgiving Stories: an old-fashioned collection to dip into.
- A Dear Little Girl’s Thanksgiving Holidays
- Mary of Plymouth and Soldier Rigdale: historical fiction about the Mayflower.
These older books tell the story from the colonists' point of view and can be dated. Read them alongside the Wampanoag side of the story. The Wampanoag have lived in what is now Massachusetts for thousands of years. Your library or Plimoth Patuxet Museums is a good place to start.
