Phonics & Word Skills: Lessons and Worksheets (K–1)

Every topic has a lesson sheet (a “Learn it” rule, picture words to say together and a guided activity) and a practice worksheet (two or three activities with an answer key), each at two levels: Kindergarten uses big pictures, tracing and circling; Grade 1 adds word searches, sorting, unscrambling and writing.

How to use these sheets

1. Read the “Learn it” box together and say the picture words.
2. Do the “Try it” activity side by side.
3. A day later, give the practice worksheet. Check it with the answer key.
4. Read a free book in the Pagine library and hunt for words with the same sound.
