His friends all flew when the sun went down. Bram stayed home with a worried frown.

So Bram breathed deep and left his tree, and opened his wings — one, two, three!
The night was not so dark at all: fireflies danced, and owls would call.
His friends cheered, “Bram! You flew! Hooray!” And Bram flew high till break of day.
Now Bram loves night — the hush, the light — and whispers, “Dark, you’re quite all right.”
