It grew a little. Then it grew a lot. Soon it was as big as a football.
Then as big as a beach ball. Then as big as the dog’s house!
By October it was as big as the tractor. The neighbours came to stare.
“How will we ever carve it?” asked Mum. “How will we ever MOVE it?” asked Dad.
Leo had an idea. With a ladder, a spoon and lots of friends, they scooped out the middle…
…and made a pumpkin clubhouse, with a window and a door!
Inside, everyone ate pumpkin pie and read stories until the stars came out.
And Leo saved one seed for next year. Just one. Probably.
