“Why do leaves change colour?” Maya asks her teacher.
“In summer, leaves are full of green that helps them make food from sunlight,” says Mr. Ade. “In autumn the green fades, and the hidden reds and yellows show.”
Back in class, Maya glues each leaf into her book and writes its name, its shape and its colour.
