How it begins

Shahfira Alif Biru menunggu Alma pulang kuliah. Nah, itu dia! Kini saatnya Biru dan Alma mengojek daring. Ini pengalaman pertama mereka. Biru merasa khawatir. Apakah dia bisa melakukan tugas itu? "Ayo, kita bersiap-siap," kata Alma. Bensin? Cukup! Oli? Bagus! Ban?…

Opening lines quoted from the openly licensed book (CC BY NC 4.0).

Reading together in Indonesian

• Read it aloud first, pointing at the pictures; then let your child “read” the pictures back to you.
• Ask open questions: what happened, how did the character feel, what would you do?
• Growing up with two languages? Talk about the story in whichever language feels easiest — the understanding carries over.
