What is the format?
Written on Alberta’s Digital Assessment Platform (moving from paper to digital), with built-in tools and accommodations. Machine-scored multiple-choice and numerical-response questions. ELA and Literature has a written part and a reading part; practice tests are on the official platform.
How should my child prepare?
Take one practice test to find strengths and gaps, review the skill breakdown, practise the weaker skills, then try another test a week later. Read every day and talk about what you read.
